Previous Events

2009 UCS Benefit
On Saturday, September 26, 2009, UCS honored long-time trustees and supporters, David P. O'Neill and Thomas C. Sullivan, Sr. at the annual UCS benefit. The event featured moving speeches by members of the O'Neill and Sullivan families, as well as by the honorees themselves. Dinner by Light Bistro, dessert by Seballos Pastries, a live auction by Bob Hale were also highlights of the evening, but a rousing singing performance by level 1/2 students stole the show. Thank you to all those who attended and supported the event!

Welcome Back Birthday Bash
On Sunday, August 17, 2008, UCS students and parents were welcomed back to school with a special 40th birthday party. Partygoers were treated to an assortment of fun and games, including; rides around the neighborhood in the Rocket Car, jaunts around the UCS backyard in the Pumpkin Carriage, a giant inflatable slide, a craft center, caricatures, balloon sculptures, a basketball tournament and a host of other backyard games. Guests topped-off their delicious lunch, prepared by UCS' own kitchen guru Mrs. Maureen Dunn (Dunn-Rite Catering), with celebratory cupcakes courtesy of Dave's Supermarket. The event was such a big hit that it may just become an annual affair!

Alumni Reunion 2009
Date: Saturday, January 10, 2009
Time: 5:00pm-7:00pm
Location: UCS Campus
Cost: $0
Over 100 UCS alumni, some from as far away as Texas, braved the big snow storm to join UCS for its 40th anniversary alumni celebration.

Graduates were treated to a special surprise as Sister Rose Elizabeth, on vacation from her mission work in El Salvador, greeted them along side Sister Maureen Doyle, OSU. Other special guests included two of UCS' founding Ursuline Sisters, Sister Martha Owen (formerly Sister Daniel Mary), Sister Michael Marie Griffin and the always popular, Mr. Harkness.

Mrs. Dubray received a standing ovation as Sister Maureen recognized her for her more than 30 years of service to the school.

Guests enjoyed the sounds of the past forty years, provided by DJ Rich Krinov ('76), as they munched on decade-specific food, browsed through Urban memorabilia and sipped "mock"tails, like Brady Bunch Punch.

The party was a great time had by all with many asking, "when is the next reunion going to be?"

Grandparents Day
On Thursday, April 2, 2009 UCS was bustling as over 200 grandparents and "special persons" visited the UCS students. For two hours students and grandparents were engaged in interactive classroom activities and games. Both the UCS students and grandparents had a fantastic time!
